Enshrouded in the high vaults of the temples of Pagan, these treasures give us a glimpse of the splendor of the Buddhist world of Southeast Asia from the 11th to the 14th century, providing evidence of the important political, artistic, and religous position that Pagan held in it. Adorning the walls and ceilings of the monuments are not only scenes of the life of Buddha as a human being, has last life, but also the numerous episodes from the lives he lived while searching for the truth. Following an initial iconographic analysis of each, the author reconstructs the overall concept of the murals, revealing them as visualizations of cosmological nature of the Buddha.
