Chinese Ceramics in the Collection of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam: The Ming and Qing Dynasties
Christiaan J. A. Jörg and Jan Van Campen
The Chinese ceramics in the Rijksmuseum comprise one of the finest but least published collections of Chinese porcelain in the world. This book is the first scholarly publication of the collection, which contain 400 magnificent pieces of Ming and Qing 17th and 18th century wares exported to Holland. These include Kraak and Transitional porcelains, a wide selection of Kangxi underglaze blue and polychrome wares, famille rose and other 18th century enamelled wares, Chine de commande, blanc de Chine and Yixing wares. In addition there is a selection of imperial wares and pieces made for the Chinese market which includes rare and unusual pieces.
